The powerful storm Monday that spawned a two-mile-wide tornado in Moore, Okla. -- killing more than 24 people -- destroyed or damaged at least 1,200 homes and caused anestimated $2 billion in damages.

Now, a series of striking before and after satellite images posted at Google's Crisis Center underscores the raw power of the tornado that tore through the Oklahoma City suburb.

This satellite image, taken on April 29, shows Southeast Fourth Street in Moore, Okla., before the tornado. Points mark the most damage in red, moderate in yellow, and lesser damage in blue.
